Lorna Fellows FCCA BSc - Chartered Certified Accountant

Lorna has an honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham. After university she worked as a materials scientist analysing packaging materials.

Whilst bringing up her two daughters, Lorna started word processing and desk top publishing from home, helping local businesses, one of whom was an accountant.

She became receptionist and office manager at the accountant’s practice, and discovered the joys of bookkeeping and Sage. Deciding to train as an accountant, she started the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) course in 2000, and qualified in 2002.

She worked for two small accountancy practices in Worcester, moving to work for one of the clients full time in 2006, to sort several years’ paperwork into an accounting system and resolve HMRC enquiries.

LJF Accountancy was set up as a part time practice in 2007, becoming full time in 2009 with a range of clients in the construction, travel, recruitment, retail, consultancy and software sectors.

Lorna now roves around the Worcestershire and West Midlands area, setting up accounting systems, keeping clients' records up to date, and training on Sage Line 50 and Instant Accounts and Sage Payroll.
